new video cards like the one that is going to be released from ATI will support 8xagp - does the mobo i purchase in the future have to support this standard? Im a newbie so i hope this isnt a stupid question. I just dont want to buy a mobo now for the computer i am building and have alienated myself from tommorows graphics cards. Thanks for your help everyone 🙂
 
if you want to run it a 8x agp. It will still be backward compatible. I will be awhile before any game take advantage of 8x AGP. They still don't take advantage of 4X
