Build for a friend, cpu is gonna be amd-x2 3800 dual core.
Socket 939.
Was told to go for AM2, but not sure, figured I'd just give her the same cpu as mine, as it's been pretty good.
What do you guys recommend from ASUS or Gigabyte?

should i go AM2? or is 939 fine?
I'm leaning towards 939, since i have no clue what benefits AM2 would give (since it is relatively new and have been out of the loop for a couple of months).
 
I plan to get the exactly same setup. You may want to read the Official MSI K8NG something which is an nVidia 6100 mobo. It always stays on the first page.
 
k that thread is a little too geeky and intense for me. hahaha...i guess ill have to find out another way. 😉
