alright i just bought a P4 3.2E Ghz Prescott CPU with an ECS PT800CE-A mobo (not so great). It came as a good deal, $210 for both where the CPU alone retails over that. I know that my system wont run that great with a mobo slowing it down. Ive been asking around in different forums that i go to. when i first started looking i read rave reviews on the ASUS "P4C800-E DELUXE". I was also leaning towards Intel's i875 board. Then when i post that question on the THG forums many members told me that the ASUS board had a faulty CPU voltage regulator. I dont know exaclty what that menas because I dont know much about mobos. They reconmended the Abit boards. I saw Abit's top of the line board for the 478 chipset...the IC7-Max3. It gave me much interest because of the OTES cooling system but the price was a bit high and it was hard to find elsewhere but ebay. Right now im open for any suggestions on an i875 board. These are the ones im looking at...
ASUS "P4C800-E DELUXE"
Intel "D875PBZLK FMB 1.5"
ABIT IC7 MAX3
DFI "LANPARTY PRO875B"
I want the best performing mobo with reliability
