Motherboard - ASUS A7V8X-X (latest BIOS) (All Default settings)

RAM - 2 APACER 512MB UNB PC2700 CL2.5 P/N 77.10728.19A
Bank A - S/N 1104022-80470
Bank B - S/N 1104022-80464

Operating System - Windows XP Home Edition (all updates)
Sapphire Radeon 9600 256MB (Catalyst 4.2 - latest)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
2 IDE Maxtor drives (40GB & 60GB)
1 DVD ROM (Lite-On)
1 DVD-RW (Pioneer A05)
1 3.5 floppy
400 watt power supply
Zalman CPU Cooler
2 System fans
(System is running well below temperature thresholds)

1) Bank A in DIMM1 - System reboots 15 - 45 seconds after Windows loads.

2) Bank B in DIMM1 - System constantly reboots

3) Bank A in DIMM2 - System seems stable

4) Bank B in DIMM2 - System reboots every 2 -3 minutes after Windows loads

5) Bank A in DIMM3 - System stable

6) Bank B in DIMM3 - System stable

7) Bank A in DIMM1 & Bank B in DIMM2 - System will not boot

8) Bank A in DIMM2 & Bank B in DIMM3 - System reboots every 2 - 4 minutes after Windows loads
Note: Ran Microsoft Memory test for 6+ hours no failure.

NOTE: Configuration worked with BIOSTAR M7VIF motherboard.

So is my problem a bad motherboard or bad/marginal RAM ???????

Wow, well I?m trying to understand what you telling me?are you saying that your system is not working properly when your ram is in different configurations? If I am understanding correctly and your system is working under this setting:

5) Bank A in DIMM3 - System stable

6) Bank B in DIMM3 - System stable

Why not run it that way?

If it is only running when in a specific bank, that indicates a bad board. It shows that the ram is working. try the ram in another machine and I am sure that it will work. Sounds like a bad board.
