Mobo & OEM OS problem

If Vista will not activate online on the new board, then telephone them using the supplied number and explain your problem. Usually they're understanding and will give you a code to activate.

To second this, It it very correct as I have done this a couple of times. If you do it right, you wont even need to call as you can do it online as it puts you into the registration page by entering some codes and after about 5-10 mins, all is up and running again.

So, I assume that may work for XP Media Center Edition as well? I want to install that OS on a motherboard I'm having some problems with. I have the impression maybe installing a legit copy of Windows and having the updates may cure the problem. If it doesn't, lol, I may have to buy a different one.

This would be correct, but Only if it is legit. If you are insinuating that your OS isn't, Don't even try it.
