Mobo issue Replacing.. Will this work?

Time for a Mobo and CPU upgrade in a Media PC that I dont want to spend a ton of money on. Will this work?

I have:

Asus: A7N8X Deluxe

I am looking at:

Biostar: NF4 4X-A7

My main question is if the RAM will be able to be swapped over.

Asus = Dual-Channel DDR400 Support: The 128-bit TwinBank DDR Memory architecture doubles the DDR 400 (PC3200) bandwidth. System bottlenecks are eliminated with balanced architecture and peak bandwidth up to 6.4GB/s.

Biostar
= Memory: Number of DDR Slots: 2 x 184pin. DDR Standard: DDR 400 (PC 3200). Maximum Memory Supported: 2GB.

Yes, the ram is compatible and can be swapped. Both boards will accept DDR400 PC3200.
The dual channel comes into play if you have two sticks of ram that are a matched set ,ie. tested as a matching pair in the factory.Having a matched pair will double the performance of the ram ,compared to having two different sticks that will not run in dual channel/interleaved.
Just note-if you have a graphics card,it wont fit the new board AGP vs PCI-E

well...it'll double the maximum bandwidth of the ram, whether or not it makes a big impact on real world performance depends on the specific task.

unless, of course, he was using a pci video card for some reason XP.
