So my friend and I were overclocking his brand new Athlon system...

Epox 8RDA+
Athlon 2500+ Barton
1GB Kingston Hyper X PC2700 (2x512)
350 watt Antec Smart Power supply

We had tried it on 11.0 x 200 mhz and it seemed to work fine so we pushed it to 11.5 and then it wouldnt send any video signal to the screen and started making beeping sounds. The fans and the LEDs would come on, and I could see the Motherboard debugger start to go through the initial stages of bootup but it would never get past the C3 post code(Expand Compressed BIOS code to DRAM). I have already tried switching out the Vid card but there was no change

What I need to know is, is the Mobo fried, or is it something else?

Thanks for any help and please ask if you need more info about the setup.

Forgot to mention that the CPU temp was about 48-50 C at time of incident and I dont detect any burning smell.

Been looking around some more, could it be possible I just need to reset the CMOS?

If holding down insert does not work, unplug power supply and clear the cmos. Unplug it first, tho.
Congratulations, you have entered the dark realms of overclocking!
I wandered into here a few days ago, and can't find my way out:p

Thanks, we were actually able to fix it by just letting it sit over night. Still not sure exactly what went wrong.
