Well, last I researched I got an ECS K7S5A. I think my motherboard is messed up. Whatas a good replacment.

I already have PC2100 ram
Video Card- Geforce 2
Sound Card - Audigy w/ firewire connector
Lan card
AMD XP 2400+

I notice when I boot stuff is reallly slow. IT pauses for a while right after It loads up the harddrives. (5 min)
When It finnaly makes it to windows it seems like it takes an hour to boot and then stuff goes crazy. I know its not my HD.

I've tried taking out both memory sticks, and trying each individually, That doesn't remedy the problem. Could it be the CPU??? I'm guessing its the motherboard

What operating system are you using? I have a KS75A as well and I was having the same problem back when I was using Windows 98SE. Everytime my computer would start up it would hang for probably around 3 to 5 minutes (I never timed it, just seemed like a long time) before it even started loading into windows. I don't recall it being incredibly slow after it loaded but there was definitely a long pause on startup. This problem went away when I installed Windows XP but after that I just started getting about a 2 minute delay after loading Windows XP. I've since realized that the 2 minute XP delay goes away when I disable the onboard LAN. I think I also noticed less of a delay on Windows 98 when I disabled the onboard sound and modem, but I didn't really ever get that figured out when I was using 98. Right now I'm on XP with just the onboard sound enabled and I don't have any problems really.
