Mobo for unlocking Phenom 555 BE

1) Which of the three motherboards would be best for unlocking the Phenom II X2 555 BE?

-Biostar TA790GXB A2+

-Gigabyte 785 US2H

-Biostar TA 785GE 128m

2) Also, will buying a Phenom II X4 945/955 be a better idea than having the unlocked 555 BE?

3) Will this psu be enough for the unlocking and a little overclocking? (I have a 9800gt 512mb gpu)

I can't comment on anything else, but that PSU should be plenty as long as you're not going SLI or Crossfire in the near future.

I would get the OCZ 600 or 700 watt refurb at svc.com. $40 for a 700 watt psu (and a good one) You won't be needing another PSU for quite a while.

As for the motherboards, the Gigabyte one would be my favorite.

Akso, if you really need or want a quad, get one. The unlock is not for sure, mine didn't.

Yep, I just got this board. Nothing but good things to say. Stable, cheap, fast and unlocks the Phenom II X2 555 into a Deneb X4 🙂

If you want to spend a little more, get the upgraded version (790). Reviews have shown exact same benchmarks so I chose to save $20-30.
