I built a new system on a MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX II and it doesn't see my brand-spanking-new Samsung M.2 drive; not in BIOS, not in device manager.

My SATA are *not* plugged in to ports 5/6.

AHCI mode on by default.

I'm gonna try a BIOS flash tomorrow but with all likelyhood this won't do much.

Also this damn board takes FOREVER to get into BIOS and reboot. Seriously. 1m40sec for a reboot.

Did you disable CSM in BIOS to boot off of NVMe? I have to do that in my Asus B450-F ROG STRIX BIOS, before it will see the NVMe as a boot device. Also, the MS USB Win10 installer wrote a boot signature to it, otherwise it was non-bootable.

When you say you can't see it, does it even show up at all in Device Manager? Because if not, and you're installed AMD's current chipset drivers, then @DAPUNISHER 's idea that your NVMe PCI-E lanes from your CPU are damaged, has merit.
