Mobo Deal - Need Advice

Looking to build a good comp for around ~$600 for a friend. He wants to play Starcraft 2 and next gen games in general.

I saw this build (albeit some changes I made)

AMD Phenom II X4 955 BE 3.2GHz
GIGABYTE GA-870A-UD3 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 1333 (no heatspreader)
EVGA 768MB 460
Samsung F3 1TB
Corsair 650TX
Antec 300 Case
LG DVD Burner

and went to Fry's today to check out their combo deals. They had a combo with a AMD Phenom II X4 965 and MSI 785GM-E51 Mobo for $225 - $15 MIR.

Total $210 + tax for this combo.

Thoughts? Worth getting this combo? He think he might do some mild overclocking with an aftermarket fan (Zalman maybe). Also wants to up the GTX 460 1GB.

Considering the same mobo and CPU would be $280 at Newegg, yeah I'd say it's a good deal. The mobo will do just fine if you don't mind microATX.

the MSI 785GM-E51 is really geared towards the HTPC segment. In comparison I think the 870 board is better.

TBH that fry's combo is only so-so compared to previous deals. Just last week they had a Phenom II X6 1055T+MSI 890GXM-G65 for $229 AR ($30). $20 more gets you two more cores and a newer motherboard/chipset.
