Are you programmer of the site, or are you considering joining it?

There are a lot of similar social networking apps out there now. LinkedIn, Ringo, Mobile Social Software, Friend of a Friend, Yet Another Social Networking Service, many more.

I don't know what distinguishes one brand from another. For what it's worth, my grad school alumni group en masse joined LinkedIn, based on some analysis that evaluated it as best brand. Various corporations use different brands for linking geographically dispersed employees.

Apparently Jambo also creates an adhoc network when there's no hotspot nearby? Does it do this on it's own? Or does somebody need to initiate it?

From what I can tell it creates it between two jambo users.
