I'm not sure what the point of this post is, but how mobile phones have made life more expensive and driving more dangerous would be a better thread. 🙂

WTF, don't advertise your crap here

i wonder who paid for that rig you got there too...*cough* AEG or something of the sort

Cell phones have created an artificially complex social network in which the art of privacy and self-analysis has been lost in the warzone that is welfare capitalism. Look how many people text me. Look how people I can call. Look at the little games I can play. Look at the SUV driver on the cell phone about to run me over. Cell phones are a tool, external in power and for me hold no mysterious keys to nirvana. Rather, they are the continuing symbols of the eroding sense of privacy and development that is being replaced by the harried trivial and often surface level connections of social networks. In defense of cell phones I am a weeee bit anti-social with the surface level conversations that I routinely attempt to avoid like the plague. "How are you?" About to stick that cell phone up your .... er... well I think my medications are calling

Edit: Anyone else find it ironic that I am bashing modern social networking on an internet forum. I think it is ironic but I am paradoxical enough to not care. The paranoid are often paranoid for a reason .. uh nevermind.

Yes 🙂

Now what does this thread have to do with General Hardware?

I gave up my cell phone 6 months ago, and I love it....it's nice to go to work and hear "I tried to call you late last night, but you don't have a cell anymore...."

btw, I'm not paid to be on call, and only the REALLY important people, who can tell if it's critical to call or not, have my home phone.
