Mobile Me Sync notifications

everytime I add events on my iphone calendar or ical and sync it, I get this message asking if i want to modify the other calendar by syncing. I can't think of a reason why I would want an event on one calendar and not hte other but I find it annoying that I have to 'okay' the syncing of the two. Is there any way to turn off those notifications? I looked ay my iphone and mobileme settings and can't seem to find an option for that. am I missing something?
