LCPL Celeron 533 mobile (removed from truck for the winter)
has been promoted to CPL Celeron 733 mobile and is doing
double duty on the road again, cracking for AnandTech while
on the move and doing RC5 for the team, and fetch/flushes
when he retires for the night, via a Acer Warplink wireless
network.
He has spent the winter in training at Jarhead's advanced
Stealth RECON school. By this summer will have finished
his training and he will have the added bonus of NIR vision
(near infra-red), since the enhanced vision center has passed
testing in the lab, complete with a zoom lens, to begin field
trials! He will be retro-fitted with a custom aluminum exoskeleton
as an added bonus, reducing his warload weight, turning him into
a high speed, low drag, cracking machine.
His current systems include a enhanced personnel locator system,
comprised of 13 satellites, combined with a GPS engine, tied into a
USGS 7.5 topographical map display setup, which superimposes his
exact location obtained from the satelite consellation, preventing
loss of true position under the extreme fog-of-war conditions, aided
by the NIR vision system during true fog conditions, to cut thru the
chase. A side benefit of these added features allows him to get
from point A to point B via the shortest distance, and to navigate
around cluster points or slow moving road warrior positions. One
extra bonus is the ability to explore new frontiers of the BLM and
U.S. Forest areas, collecting bonus resources and a little R&R away
from danger.
His mobile land rover, has also undergone a complete engine rebuild
during the winter, is also 100% mission ready. The Nissan enables
him to continue cracking during power grid failues.
Future enhancements will include a gimbalized vision center, once
parts are procured.
