Man, you know this is all propaganda. Saddam never even had WMD. It was all lies made up by the "Bushy's" so they could start their New World Order. ;)

Well, until it's proven to be and reported by many news sites...I'm not holding my breath.

Well the only reason I posted is because the vehicle had a fake wall that attempted to hide what was in the vehicle.

I totally agree with conjur. We've heard WMD reports until they are coming out of my ears and they have all proved false.

Best to wait for confirmation.

edit: This isn't meant as a crap to the thread...I appreciate all the posts. Everyone can draw their own conclusions but I will continue to withhold judgement until some weapons grade stuff lands in my lap ;)

By "mobile" does that mean the lab was being pulled around by camels??

No. If you look up the definition of "mobile", you see this entry listed:

mo·bile. (mbl)- A type of sculpture consisting of carefully equilibrated parts that move, especially in response to air currents.

We can therefore conclude that this lab was a decoration hung from the ceiling, like a wind chime. :p

Was there ever any doubt? The Germans sold them the damn things...

But it was probably a plant... If it says Winnebago on it and has some Thousand Trails stickers on it then you know it is a trick.

The networks have all been jumping to conclusions.

You would be wise to wait until the Pentagon releases its findings.

Then go research the info for good measure.

So I guess we should never post any breaking news because the Pentagon hasn't confirmed it? I don't think so. I think people are smart enough to know when it is said "POSSIBLE" that we might find out later that it isn't what it appeared to be.

I guess you thinking is that people aren't smart enough to see that.

No...it's just that every other report so far of a find of WMD has been brought out by the media with 48pt headlines.

Breaking news that is much easier to verify would be more readily accepted here.

Just don't expect something that requires days before it can be verified to be patently accepted up here. Too many pessimists here (maybe we're acting as our own minders for the media now that the Iraqi ones are gone :) )

What you're all forgetting or don't seem to realize is that there were several days there if not more where the regime could have destroyed it all to make us look bad too. I'm still convinced that in time we will find what we are looking for there.

Troops went into a northern town to cheers again today, then the residents led them to some illegal Al Samouds behind the soccer stadium, anyone else see that report?

Unlikely . . . it would make more sense to declare it before the invasion (by offering to take inspectors to the sites) or use it against US/UK forces. The longer it takes to find something increases the pressure to find something . . . the window of opportunity is closing on US credibility with regards to significant WMD in Iraq.

No it isn't. How old is this WAR? Oh yeah, 3 WEEKS!!! and we've been fighting a WAR not neccesarily scouring the country side for WMD. Have we run accross suspicious items? Yup. And will we find them when we purposely hunt for them - yup.

How long did it take for the "inspectors" to find those warheads that Iraq "didn't have" Hmmmm. Give it a rest already - We'll find WMD but we have a WAR to win first.

CkG

EDIT - I read somewhere today that there is a "list" of 1000 or more suspected sites and we've only hit about 20 of them - yeah

the pressure is on :p

That's as much of a grasping for straws conspiracy theory as it would be to believe that the marines built a chemical weapons plant to justify their invasion.

Saddam's primary interest is staying in power and keeping his money. If he's willing to destroy all of the weapons after the US attacks and his removal is certain just to embarrass the US, then he would have been willing to do that to prevent the invasion in the first place.

Man...what is with these miniscule timetables people have set for finding WMD's? It's ridiculous to assume we'd find anything by now. The Marines are far more interested in WINNING THE WAR than digging into every pile of sand in a country the size of California. Do you really think that Saddam has them hidden behind a door somewhere? To say that US credibility is at stake after less than a month is just silly.

Hello? Didn't we find an enormous cache of weapons just the other day - something to the tune that could supply camp Legune(sp) and camp Pendelton?

Hmm... impoverished people not an impoverished gov't
