Ok, so I was talking to some overclocking techy guy today and asked his opinion of my retail 2800+ vs. a 2500+ mobile. He said that my chip running at 3200+ speeds would actually be faster than the 2500+ running at those speeds. I don't remember his reasoning but the stock processors are supposed to have more power than the mobiles? Is this true?
that tech guy is smoking some pretty good stuff man.
at stock speeds the 2800+ will be faster naturally due to the higher FSB speed and higher clock speed.
however was both are on the same FSB and same clock they are the same.
the only difference between the desktop chip and a mobile chip is a mobile is the cream of the crop when it comes to silicon....able to run at the same clock speed as its desktop counter part but at a lower vcore.
