An investigation in Missouri found no evidence that the Planned Parenthood clinic in St. Louis is selling fetal tissue from abortions, the state attorney general announced on Monday.

No twitching partially aborted fetuses being harvested for organs and body parts. No selling of fetuses. No wrong doing.

“The evidence reviewed by my investigators supports Planned Parenthood’s representation that fetal tissue is handled in accordance with Missouri law,” Koster added in the statement. “We have discovered no evidence whatsoever to suggest that Planned Parenthood’s St. Louis facility is selling fetal tissue.”

Two different committees in the Republican-controlled US House of Representatives are also investigating Planned Parenthood. Earlier this month ranking Democrats on the Energy and Commerce Committee announced that their investigation has found "no evidence" to support claims that Planned Parenthood is engaged in any illegal activities. Republicans on the committee have yet to release their findings from the investigation. The House Judiciary Committee is also conducting an investigation.

Who cares? I wish they sold more fetuses so taxpayers didn't need to fund them anymore. The more abortions the better.

No federal funds go towards abortion, silly goose.

The funds help pay the doctor DOING the abortion, and pay for the instruments used to terminate the fetus, and the waste bag where the fetus goes, the waste basket itself, the waste dumpster in the parking lot, the guy who takes said waste to the dumpster out in the parking lot, upkeep for said parking lot, also the lights, you need lights to see, the water bill, property taxes and on and on and on.

Except the act of terminating the fetus itself. No funds go to that, or something.
 
Federal funds pay for services that don't include abortion. If you think you can provide those services better than PP, then open your own clinic with better service that wins over their patients, and deprive PP of federal funds that way. Don't just single out PP and tell women to go to the dentist instead like GOP has been doing.

Since abortion is such a small portion of PP's business (3%, right?) they ought to just stop doing them and save themselves all this trouble.

Of course everyone knows that 3% is the part they care most about and would sacrifice every other service they provide in order to keep doing. At some future happy day the blue state abortion rate will reduce their birthrate below replacement level, but I guess until then we'll have to wait.

Did the Federal Republicans even Investigate the allegations against PP? Seems to me they simply rushed to Defund PP as fast as they could. Meanwhile, every State that has Investigated the allegations has Cleared PP of any wrongdoing.

Excellent point! And since the percentage of people who purchase a handgun for self-defense - and then actually USE the handgun for self-defense - is much smaller than 3%, I'm sure that handgun owners will gladly give up their handguns, too.

Wrong side of the cash register, we're talking suppliers not customers. The better example would be saying WalMart should stop selling firearms since it represents a small fraction of their income but a huge part of their compliance costs and reputation risk.

Why don't you mind your own business and let them mind theirs? If you don't think federal government should help fund women's health services, then come out and say so. But if they choose to fund them, they shouldn't be picking winners and losers. Let women decide where they get those services.

I see. So since PP uses only a small percentage of their resources for abortions, Republicans want to shut PP down. But if PP used - say - 75% of their resources for abortions (and received public funding for the other 25%), then Republicans would leave them alone.

Have I got that right?
