Jeremy Stevens (when he catches the ball) is the best tight-end in the NFL. He gets little credit for his outstanding run-blocking and you can't argue with his superb ability to get open.

He's really emerged having to fill in Engram's roll so far. When Engram is back Seattle will be full of offensive weapons once again (if their offensive line keeps playing well).

What good is getting open if he can't catch the damn ball? Did you see that ball bounce off of him in the end zone? This guy's picture should be plastered right next to the term "Butterfingers."

I cut him a little slack considering he had a very serious injury that he's just now getting over and wasn't able to really practice in the off-season or play until a couple weeks ago. He really stepped it up in the 2nd half of the game. Again, you can't argue with his ability to get open and his run blocking. Now back full-time (just about) into the offense after a couple weeks of barely playing, Seattle has been rushing for over 100 yards, and now over 200 yards tonight.

Okay, top-5 maybe. At least I like Stevens better than that jerk, Shockey. Stevens is a fairly quiet guy and I like that about him.

He is a good Tight End. Let's leave it at that. And I would take him over that loud mouth Shockey any day of the week. Whether he is a better player or not, I'll reserve judgement.

Stevens definitely has the talent to be top 5, but he has to hold onto the ball and be more consistent to ever get to that level.

While he is a bit ridiculous and flamboyant, Shockey has never been arrested or done anything to actually hurt someone.

The same can't be said for Stevens.

I don't personally care for either, but knowing what I know about Stevens' character coupled with his lackluster performance on the field would have me lean towards Shockey.

True, Stevens has been arrested. The difference though is that Shockey is a loudmouth on and off the field. Stevens is much more well-spoken and intelligent. He's also more of a team player. Before last season started, Stevens wanted to improve and personally talked to Hasselbeck to work on some stuff for a couple hours each day after practice. That's dedication.

Don't know how you can say Stevens is a quiet guy when last year during the superbowl he ran is mouth. Not only did he run his mouth, but then he couldn't back it up on the field and dropped several important balls...just like last night. Whatever he once was, he is no longer. That TD last night saved him from being benched the rest of the season IMO.

How is giving respect to Jerome Bettis' career running his mouth? It certainly wasn't trash-talking. Porter used it as an excuse to get his mouth going because that's what he does. Stevens caught the only touchdown pass in the game and then caught a late pass to put them on the 2-yard line, but was brought back from a ghost holding call that no analyst or expert could see where any o-lineman was holding.

You life-long dream of the Seahawks wining a superbowl is clouding your vision. Stevens isn't even top 5 TE in the game currently. He did run his mouth before the Superbowl and so did Joey Porter...so they're both retards, what is your point?
