Could this week have gone ANY better? Dallas wins BIG, Eagles lose, AND I win all 3 fantasy leagues I'm in. Solid.
 
I'm glad to eat crow on this one. I'm very happy the Eagles lost even though I thought they'd easily win, I hate the Eagles. But I have to say I vastly underestimated the D of the Falcons.
 
Yep, the Falcons D played very well, and the O played surprisingly well also. The Eagles missed Trotter in the run defense, and they missed Corey Simon as well.
 
Ugly, ugly game. However, the Falcons showed me nothing that would suggest we would lose to them if our offense was on its game and Trotter was in. Also, we need to trade for AJ Feeley because McNabb isn't cutting it. 😉

It's a good thing the regular season doesn't start for another 17 weeks, no need to worry about this preseason loss.

OK, I know McNabb took some heat for running too much a few years ago. But now he's gone to the other extreme.
And poor Akers...I hate to pin blame on someone, but the first kick was doable for such a good kicker and the second kick should have been a gimmee. Of course, the Iggies need more than just a crack kicker to win consistently. It was basically a repeat of the Superbowl - some decent offensive plays and solid defense that was overshadowed by stupid miscues.

As is often the case when the Eagles lose...they beat themselves.

I hate the Falcons, and I hate Ron Mexico. If he were even a SERVICABLE QB without his feet, I'd be fine, but if you look at what TB does to them every game, you'd know what will happen when teams figure out how to defend him. Sure, he's one of a kind in the NFL, and so most teams aren't ready for him. However, if teams started drafting pitiful passing QBs that could scramble like he does, defenses would be more used to him, and he wouldn't be anything special.
 
Oh and another thing - If the Eagles are going to lose on MNF, I'd appreciate it if they let me know this by going down by at least 28 pts in the first half so that I don't have to stay up until 1AM because they *just might* pull it out with 2:00 to go.

too bad the cowboys can't "0wn the feagles." just leave it to another team and keep hoping for a good draft pick next year.
 
It was a fun game. As a diehard Falcons fan, I have a a hard time believing that we would have won if Trotter was in the game.

Then again, our team (which Al Michaels correctly described as - "scrappy") somehow pulls off wins in strange ways.

Either way, we'll see a rematch in about 17 weeks.
