did he just say what I thought he said?

is your memory that bad?

did you really just say "until dallas even gets to an NFC championship game you can STFU"

Kev, are you denying that?? There is no team in the NFC that will beat the Colts or the Patriots in the big game.

i am well aware that dallas has won several superbowls in the 90s
thankfully that era is over

i just love in how the giants vs. eagles thread

you say minnesota is going to own the eagles, and when they can beat the vikes then you can celebrate

eagles win we celebrate and then you say wasn't for a few key plays it wouldn't be this way

and when we do the same about the cowboys victory over the skins all you can do is resort to

"caronlina is going to own you and week 10 baby that is what it is about"
save a few key moments and a lot of games would turn out differently

i will admit that the colts / patriots are formidable but if you think the eagles have absolutely zero chance at beating either of these teams you are the one that is kidding yourself and if there is one team in the NFC that can do it than it is definitely the eagles

The panthers IMO weren't that good last year but managed to make it a game.

This is the same horse sh*t that everyone said about the Lakers all year, and for the past 4 years about the NBA's Western Conference, that noone could beat them, and what happened this year? The Pistons flat out embarrassed the Lakers.

And that's in a 7 game series, where it's much more difficult to win if you are an underdog.

Here is Deeko's MO

10 POST "The Eagles are going to get their ass kicked this weekend!"

20 IF(Eagles lose) GOTO 40 ELSE POST "They got lucky, but don't worry..."

30 GOTO 10

40 POST "I told you so"

50 GOTO 10

It doesn't matter that he won't get to line 40 until November. He will still chime in about how he has been right all along...

mchammer, you've got pretty bad selective hearing. i don't feel like restating myself, cuz i am soaking wet cuz i just walked home from work in a monsoon(IN PHILADELPHIA, unlike any of you), go back and reread the vikings thread.

You compared Culpepper being 3 inches away from the end zone to a 60 yard TD. Its just a LIIIITLE bit more likely that he'll get those 3 inches, don't you think?
Its probably that they would have scored from the one, but if you want to pull insane sh!t out of your ass like the above, so can I. However, no, I did not say anywhere that the Eagles wouldn't have scored from the 1. I said there was a chance they wouldn't have scored from the 45.
The Eagles played better ball, I've conceded that already. However, what YOU need to concede is that they certainly did not demonstrate that they are the better team. First off, this is the NFL, one game means nothing. Second off, don't forget that the Eagles are at home, if it was this close in Philly, who says the Vikings wouldn't have won at home? But more importantly, the game was so close in so many regards, if these teams meet again in the playoffs, can you honestly say "Yes, the Eagles will win!! They are soo much better a team after that performance!!"? No way, not if you have half a brain you can't.

There, that is your 'insanity' just from that one post. You know, its a shame, I love this city, but man is it home to some of the STUPIDEST sports fans alive.

this was the last post in the thread

all i'm saying is if you are going to say that about the eagles during the minnesota game you cannot say that dallas demonstrated that they are better team after watching THIS GAME against the skins

the comment about a few plays going different can ultimately effect the outcome of the game can be said about most of the games played in the NFL that is what makes it great

a few penalties / lucky breaks gone the other way and dallas is 1-3 the colts are 3-0 and the pats are 1-1. so what

and you also have to remember that the culpepper fumble was FORCED not just a lucky drop

i guess the eagles have to
beat carolina
beat dallas
win the NFC championsihp
win the superbowl

for them to get any respect in your eyes

The Eagles have respect in my eyes, douchebag. But they aren't the gods of football that every idiot philly fan thinks. What I said in the Vikings thread is that yea, they won, yea, be happy, but don't act like you are winning the bowl cuz of it, they could have VERY easily lost that game, and the vikings aren't exactly the colts or the patriots.

I also never said Dallas showed dominance of the Redskins, now did I? See, that's why i'm smarter than you. I'm realistic.

Don't be too high and mighty just yet. You WILL NOT go to the superbowl. You won't.

Dallas could have very easily lost last night if it wasn't for a very lucky "non" call for pass interference in the end zone that definitely was there. Then they would be 1-2 like they should be IMO.

But like you say, a few lucky breaks (as in the refs) can change the outcome of the game. That is why I say NFL refs sukk azz.
