I used to be a huge fan and follow almost every korean mmorpg that I could get my hands onto, Priston Tale, Ragnoraok, etc. I used to play in their betas / alphas all of the time. I recently played Dark and Lights SoG and did not like it, they are far to behind in their list of features and I do not think that game will be 'full' for another 2 years. I do not want to play, nor have I, play WoW or EQ series. I used to play Lineage II, but it got boring quick. I loved Diablo II LOD (pre 1.1 patch) and Priston Tale was my all time favorite. What games are worth looking into right now?

Maybe try RF Online , but that one is made by same ppl as Lineage II I believe so you might not like that.

Guild Wars, but that's not really a true MMORPG...it's more like Diablo 2 w/ better graphics.

D&D online might be good, haven't read much about it.

Not sure why you wouldn't try WoW...that is by far the best MMORPG out.

WoW FTW!

I actually just restarted my WoW account after I quit a few months ago. It's the best MMORPG out right now.

I was talking to some kids who play it and they say its meant for 10 year olds, and I believed it when I saw the game in action.

Guild Wars isn't that great, it definatly lacks a good auction system and I do not like the D2 style playing anymore. Though the graphics are pretty good. I want to try DD online, but I haven't looked into that too much either.

I really want a game like priston tale, if anyone has heard of that game.

Any other games that have great potential?

EVE-Online, if you like complexity and potentially elaborate pvp, and a space-based MMORPG as opposed to a swords and sorcery based one.

I have played EVE before, but it costs a good amount of REAL money (cashola) to do anything worth while. Its more of a FPS too, if I remember.

All the kiddies play on the Alliance side. Just join Horde and you will be fine.

Anyways, when you were watching the game, what made you think it was a kid's game?

It reminds me of Warcraft III, a lot. They actually said the game is simple minded, for people the age of ~10.

Yes. Combat consists of two badly animated characters smacking each other with
whatever weapon they currently have. Sinjid has better combat.

Shadowbane is free.

Ultima Online would blow your mind at the enormity of what that game offers now. Seriously, last time I played it, I spent a couple weeks JUST designing my house....and it was on an 8x8 lot. It's a pale shadow of what it used to be, but still would take you literally months of hardcore playing to unravel the compexity and minutia.
