You guys don't like peas!?!?!?
I've found, after years of cooking for my wife, that some people are traumatized to DISLIKE certain foods (usually vegetables) because when they were kids, their parents OVERCOOKED EVERYTHING.
My wife used to think that EVERYTHING green was soggy, until she learned that I tend to stir fry, steam or boil for only a short period of time and this makes all of the difference in the world. 🙂
