Wow. They have some pretty good deals! I have been looking for an SKS and just might get one from there, unless anoyne around here knows of a better place.... Good deals on ammo too!

Oh yeah, sweet ass AK!!! Wish I hadn't just bought a laptop, or I would have one of those too!

cool, i thought so, but didnt quite remember. (i think it was 1961 though, not '51?)

anyways, the AK family is prohibited in canada, but i'd like to get a SKS some time, hopefully yugo made.
 
Some other places you might want to look PTC is here and here for an SKS. A good place with good shipping on ammo (but out of stock) is here, I got my ammo and extra mags from centerfire. Shipping for a 1000rd crate was $14.50 to NE PA and is around $8 I think from cabelas.

I've often wondered about this. I can't own a gun in Chicago. Isn't that an infringement on my rights to "keep and bear Arms"?

Isn't your banana-style clip illegal? It is where I live. Unless its bottom-capped to only hold limited rounds. Nice rifle my friend.
 
neat...i find aks ugly though.... something aobut the wood clashing with the cheap metal.

I really like hk g3s though, same caliber but cost little more

There's like two states it is, everywhere else it's legal. And it's a full 40 round magazine.

All a matter of opinion. Some wouldn't trade wood for anything, while others love the black fiberglass look. Personally, I like both. When I have some more money I plan on getting an AK74 complete with black fiberglass foregrips, pistol grip, and stock. I think I'll leave this AK alone though 🙂

lol, I'm a fan of just military rifles and handguns. Either way, no way in hell can you buy a RPG or any type of mines.

Thanks. We'll see how this baby shoots once I get my ammo, but the AK isn't exactly the most accurate rifle in the world. 🙂

G3 is 7.62 NATO or also called 7.62x51, interchangeable with .308 Winchester
AKM is 7.62x39

Big difference between the two.....

However...I am a fan of the M14 and M4.
A russian friend tried to sell me a AK47 modified.. with longer barrel, Silenced and 4X scope :Q
for @2G's :Q I declined.. but the offer was awsome.. man I should have thought ahead. 🙁

If I were you man.. I'd invest in a nice 1911, maybe even a SoCoM.
 
Hehe KGB, yea I knew one day I was gonna end up with an AK. It's in my red Russian blood 🙂 And it's made in Romania. A really close clone of the original Ruski AK, second only to the Russian VEPR AK (which is 200-300 dollars more).

The other firearms which will be added to my collection over time will be an M1 Garand, M14, CAR15 with 20" barrel (M16 length), AK74, and definitely an M1911. Probably a couple others too, but those are the main ones.
