Funny thing, but when you take a wine that's rich and fruity and mix it with a white cheese, such as swiss, the contrast makes you appreciate the blandness of the swiss...it's really cool. Just thought I'd share. :)

What else goes good with red wine besides red meats....etc.?

Yeah....I tried this very wine yesterday with a provolone/mozzarella, spinach and mushroom pizza I made yesterday. It was a pretty good match.

By the way, I'm currently drinking Beaujolais - Villages from Louis Jadot.

It's a GREAT wine for little money. I think it was only $10.99 for a 750ml. :)

I like Australian Shiraz. Good quality for the bucks and always 13% or higher alc ;)

Agreed. The Aussie Shiraz is definitely good and can be a bargain compared to some of the other wines. They're actually starting to cross-breed the Shiraz grapes and get some new varieties...

I'm still searching for a good stock of young wines, but also want to find some good vintage wines to save until I'm older. As soon as I can pour the concrete in my basement and setup a TRUE wine cellar, I will. I want to stock at least 200 bottles down there. (That's my real goal) I just have to find some with good cork lengths.

Red, red wine
Go to my head
Make me forget that I
Still need her so
