Mmmm... Popcorn :)

Orville Reddenbakker(sp) popcorn popped in OR buttery oil in a stove top popper with a crank.

Get the oil hot but just not so hot it smokes. Pour in a cup of popcorn and at a moderate speed turn the crank.

That is the best.

damn right, its the best snack when i'm too lazy to go out to get food and there's nothing to make. If I'm particularly hungry, I'll melt some butter and put it on with some salt, the best damn food in the world I tell ya!

Mmmmm... the half-popped kernels at the bottom are soooooo goood...

Time for another batch... lol 🙂

Nachos.. with Hot spicey Cheese

mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm....

just imagine that.. pop what?

Yes, the half popped are so good. I eat the whole bag just to get to those.
BTW, how did they make popcorn prior to microwaves? My family got a microwave when I was like 10, but I have no idea how they did it prior to that.😕

hot air machines. I don't have a microwave, just a machine that generates a stream of hot air, which causes the kernels to pop.

they have panned ones.. (like a skillet)

put that on stove.. and watch it pop..

u know.. the scene where Drew Barrymore pops that one in Scream 1

When I was a kid, we had this metal-pan-shaker thing that we would heat kernels up in. We would just hold it over the wood-stove and shake it alot so it wouldn't burn... Kinda cool actually, but it's hard to beat the efficiency of the air popper.

Drew used to be hot but don't know WTF happened with her. Anyway good ol' celery and some french onion dip is what I like.

Anybody else call those unpopped kernels at the bottom "Old maids"?

It took me years to make sence of that name.

They were never popped!

LOL @ the old maids post, that's sick, gross and disgusting but funny.

That's just too tempting to reply to!
