I am on dialup so the pictures haven't loaded yet. I used to have one back when I was in highschool in 86-87. It was a gas hog, but it was pretty cool to drive. A lot of top end, but not a lot of lowend. I think I got it to about 120-130 one time and it messed up the radiator on it. Still those were the days.

Meh that is an 81, 1979 was the last year of the big block Trans Am. If I remember my T/A history properly, the OP's pic shows "T.A. 6.6" on the hood scoop which denotes it as the last of the 400 Pontiac motors with a 4 speed transmission.

The majority of the 1979 models had an Oldsmobile 403 motor with an automatic transmission, those had "6.6 LITER" on the hood scoop.

Found this page which shows a 74 Trans Am with right hand drive. I guess I never even thought that GM had ever exported these old cars. It just looks funny to see a Trans Am with right hand drive.
 
man that is a good looking car. too bad they were slow, neutered by emissions restrictions and CAFE standards. i still love the looks of the screaming chickens.
