Type R 1/4 mile can get in the mid 12's with all motor mods, no forced induction, and full interior - basically a completely streetable, normal looking car. Stock lateral acceleration is 0.92g, aftermarket coilovers (springs & threaded shocks) and anti-sway / strut bars, 16x7" rims and better tires, should bring it over 1.00g. A big brake kit will stop it from 60mph in less than 100 feet.

With these numbers it will tie a 1996 Dodge Viper GTS in the 1/4 mile, edge it out in handling, and better braking. It will also get almost double the gas mileage.

There ya go, inline 4 beats V10.

1996 Dodge Viper RT/10 5.0 13.2
1998 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 SS 5.2 13.6
1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 4.4 12.8
1997 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta 4.8 13.2

The 1996 GTS is 12.7, same time as that Type R. Yes, the newest one is faster.

Those mods on any decently fast car would get it into the 12's.

raging ...i dont think on any car. these mods work especially well on the vtec engines because of the high rpm threshold they possess. also, i dont think that an integra could get passed 1.0g's. i would say damned close. if it did, i think ride quality would greatly suffer.

LOL 12 seconds with those mods? You have got to be kidding, please show me a timeslip/video.

A TypeR weighs 2600, plus driver and fuel = ~2800 pounds. It runs the 1/4 at around 15 secs flat, and has around 155 hp at the wheels(20% driveline loss).
Now for it to go 12.9 in the 1/4 mile, it would need 300hp at the wheels(360 at the crank) with those mods there is no way in hell you will gain 150hp to the wheels.
The i/h/e will give you maybe 10hp tops(be realistic here this is a 1.8L engine not a 5L v8). The cams will increase your top end power somewhat but severly decrease your low end torque(and idle). The pistons(higher compression?) will increase power again but not by 50hp or so, and will definetly need higher octance fuel. The fuel components do nothing to increase power, just make sure you dont run lean. The vtec controller makes vtec kick in as low as 2000rpm, but there goes your fuel economy.

And is that typer running 12's with the stock interior or fully stripper to the sheet metal?
