Mmm... Chicken and Dumplings

I love this stuff. I made some myself the other night... wow good stuff. Anyway, I haven't learned how to make the dumplings from scratch... just from Bisquick. Half the kids in my MCSA class didn't know what I was talking about when I said chicken and dumplings. They also had no idea what green bean casserole was either ah well.

I consider dumplings to be of the Chinese type. Fried meat wrapped in something like lumpia/won ton wrappings.

Yeah, those are good. What I'm talking about is a soft doughball that's been cooked. You make your dough and then you put it into the pot while your chicken stock and vegetables and chicken are boiling. Reduce heat to medium and let cook uncovered for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes cover, and cook for another 10. Serve it up and put a crapload of pepper over it. Good stuff for sinus problems or a cold.
