Yes yes.. its not an elite beer... but it does the job, and does it well..

Anyone care to agree or disagree?

You gotta travel more. Red Stripe, San Miguel, Tecate con Limon, Obolon, lots are better. Once you have experienced some of the rest, you will wonder why you ever liked the domestic beers. Some of the micro brewery beers are very good and I drink a lot of domestic when I drink beer, but the foreign and micro ones have a much more robust flavor.

Can I get those beers in Los Angeles?

Sorry, for some reason I hate Corona and Heineken... I'll drink em, but I don't like em.

Anyone ever try Great White? It was a special at a bar I went to the other night and I thought it was really good. Normally I'm not a big fan of beer, but this one was great.

QFT!!!! These young ones need to live in Europe for a few years and experience real beer that has actuall flavor. then come back and take a swig of any of the mass produced stuff and see thier bitter beer face.

In LA? Sure, you should be able to. The Obolon is Ukrainian and is the best to my way of thinking. We had a Total beverage in DC that carried most of them. The Tecate (Mex)is terrible unless you get it in a can. Open the tab, squeeze lime juice aroung the hole, then pour on the salt. Head back - drink. Great on a hot day.

Beer snobs are worse than wine snobs. If someone likes something, who the hell cares? It'll be a sad day when I can't enjoy a cheap beer.

High Life isn't the greatest beer in the world, but IMO its FAR superior to the other stuff in its price range (Keystone, Natty Light, etc.). Beer snobs get too carried away sometimes - it's cool to dis American beer. If you like something, just drink it, don't worry about image.

Miller High life on tap or in a fresh bar-bottle (the tall, re-fillable ones) tastes pretty good if cold enough.. in fact back in the days before the rebirth of American beer it was about the best you could get for a domestic.

Spanish Peaks - Black Dog Ale for me tonight.

I also bought some Bell's Batch 7000 @$18/sixpack, now that has a real kick.

The funniest part about insert alcoholic beverage here snobs is when they try to get high and mighty, while they are basically conniseurs of poison. Weed snobs are just as annoying, but since there are more of the former, I find them more comical.
