I wouldn't worry about it since I'm seeing a number of posts by folks complaining about it already. They are stating after installation that they don't have sound.

Sound works for me. I would call the installation uneventful. VCD's now play natively in the ATI VCD player...imagine that!

I just installed MMC 7.2 onto my computer with WinXP and now my TV-On-Demand is finally working. Before, it would always freeze up when I paused the live TV, now it doesn't. I think this version is a success!!! (Or at least more of a success than MMC 7.1).

Anyone know when the DVD player will be posted for download? It says it is available on the CD. I don't understand why they can't just post the DVD player too.

well the dvd player only available for people who bought the retail radeon8500..... for the time being...
if you bought the retail version--you should get the cd--if not you have to fill out a form send it to ATI to get the cd.

Can MMC version 7.2 be used on a 2000 system running drivers version 7.1? I'd really like to get the VCD player working. ATI still showed MMC version 7.1 as being the latest for windows 2000.:frown:

Just for you guys who don't want to pay for a new CD.

I have the Radeon 64 meg w/ VIVO and downloaded MMC 7.2 for Windows XP. Works great! The DVD 4.0 does not work. I installed CyberLink PowerDVD and that works great too! So if you don't want to pay ATI for an updated disc, that's an option.
