MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY?

When I lived in Canada I used the British DMY standard, now that I live in the States I switched to MDY.

Ignore it at your own peril. I work in the insurance industry, where some rates are based on your age. Getting the mo/date backwards could cost you money.

MM/DD/YYYY unless I have a reason not to (international clients, for example)

when in doubt, I'll just go Month Day, Year. no room for confusion.

this is america. go by MM/DD/YYYY

the only time i do day-month-year is in the format DD MMM YYYY such as 10 SEP 2005

when there is no template given, i usually write YYYY Month DD or YYYY-MM-DD so it would be 2005 September 10 or 2005-09-10
