So far the biggest trades:

Aaron Boone to the Yankees for a pithcer and cash

Sidney Ponson to the Giants for Kurt Ainsworth and Damian Moss and a minor leaguer

jeff Suppan to the red sox for a 2b and cash

the Giants gave up a lot, but man, this REALLY helps em out for the world series.

:( Giants get Ponson? Goodbye to any chance the Dbacks had. (not that they had one the way they are playing.

Yet again, the Yanks pull the trigger and the Mariners fail to. There's always next year... :p

The dodgers are apparently working a deal to get Robin Ventura from the Yankees for a middle reliever.

Dodger should just save themselves players, draft picks and cash as they aren't going anywhere.

I doubt it. It seems that most former Orioles get good once they are gone from the team. Like Curt Schilling or the majority of the current Mariners team. There are only a few players that were better as Orioles. Like Rapheal Palmero and the Moose, but that's hardly a trend. :p

Schmidt gets reunited with ponson. Talk about a deadly 1-2 :)

And now that the A's added a bat, I'm puttin my money on a rematch of the 89 series :)

Sidney Ponson is overrated. He is Brady Anderson in disguise.

NO! We wanted Aaron Boone! Dodgers need offense!

Evans, make some move!

NNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! NOT ROBIN VENTURA!!! NO!!! WATCHING HIM PLAY IS LIKE WATCHING BENITEZ BLOW SAVES LEFT AND RIGHT! NOOO!!!

Damn, Billy Beane is the man! What a steal!

More unfortunate for us, is that the A's pulled the trigger as well. You'd think that considering the A's made their deal a couple days ago, Gillick would've caught a clue.....sucks most for Edgar......sucks we couldn't unload Garcia. Couldn't they at least send him to the bullpen? Minors? Something?

So friggin frustrating! Gonna be a repeat of last year for the M's....

You guys should keep The Rock. He has potential, but Mariners need to get rid of that crap in third base named Cirillo.

Bloomquist is already starting in his place....I haven't seen Cirillo start for quite some time now.....he is such ass!

Cirillo definitely needs to go. Freddie could be doing better as well...not sure what's going on with him anymore. :p

Good luck to the A's and the M's this year, though. I don't care who wins it as long as they aren't wearing pinstripes.

Yeah, but Willie is never gonna have any power...and this team does need someone with that. With an outfield that'll always be under 50hr/year, we need some pop on the left side of the infield. Maybe we'll snatch up Miggy during the offseason. ;)

I hope Olerud gets his groove back, two home runs in the last two games. Winn is giving us hope right now with his homerun madness. Our offense should be fine, however the pitching is god awful.
Moyer has been pitching horribly but got lucky with the huge run support. Freddy just plain suck, he should go back to be the Rock's stunt devil. Every start for Franklin is homerun derby. I want to see Melvin convert Soriano to starter because he really has potential.

Garcia = Crap
Franklin = Crap
Pinero = Goods
Moyer = Goods, but rough ATM
Meche = Undecided, First half fluke?

As of late:
Rhodes = Always 50/50
Nelson = Always 50/50
Carrera = Aight
Soriano = Goods
Hasegawa = Goods
Sasaki = Who?

Our hitters have been OK as of late. They teed off on the Tigers, and in ONE game against the Rangers. Other than that, majority of 2nd half, offense has been lacking. We have so many threats at the plate, but seems like they rarely hit on all cyclinders together (with the exception of last night).

Agreed, Ole (he went to my high school :D) needs to pick it up, as does Winn. Mclemore is better than what he's hitting now as well. Willie hasn't been phenomenal, BUT, he's been better than Cirillo, and that's all that matters. Boone, Edgar, and Ichiro are good as it is. Wilson and Davis, are doing as expected. Nice to see them come thru in the clutch as of late. Cameron......no comment.

Sigh, A's are gonna push again, and M's will start to slide. Will be lucky to get the AL Wild Card.

Kick ass! I am glad to hear that the Giants got Ponson. Moss has been lackluster and Ponson has been spectacular this year.

Go Giants!
