Can't have the Cubs win. The fans around here will be insufferable.

The father they go without winning the better. We don't want the Cubbies to disappear in the first round, that's too easy.

Cubs beat Giiants
Cubs beat Nats/Dodgers winner
World Series is tied 3 games apiece and the Cubs have a 52-0 lead with 2 outs and nobody on in the bottom of the 9th and that team scores 53 runs on 52 straight walks and a grand slam.

Now THAT would be a fitting Cubs loss.

The worst part of this situation is that it is entirely possible. 🙁

I really want to put some money on the Indians to beat the Jays, but my site hasn't posted their odds yet! Everywhere else has the Jays as favourites, so I'll be happy to take that bet.

That's what makes the Cubs special. They're going to put Steve Bartman on their WS roster to finally lay that ghost to rest. Then they'll run out of regular pitchers during the 52 walks and the only guy left on the bench will be Bartman. He comes in to secure the win and serves up the grand slam instead. Then it's another 70+ years for them to get back to a World Series again.

yay, stupid cubs hate. boy howdy, that's some original stuff right there.

It's not hate, it's scorn. They spend a bajillion dollars a year in a league where 1 in 15 teams gets to the WS and 1 in 30 teams wins it. 70+ years since they got there and 107 since they won. And actually for a lot of those years there were a lot fewer than 30 teams compounding their humiliation. Watching Cubs fans is like watching Charlie Brown trying to kick a football. You feel sorry for them, but you can't help laughing.

I'll just leave this here

Epic comeback for the Cubbies! And an epic bullpen choke job for the Giants. Bochy is a great manager but his decision to pull Moore and hand it over to that terrible pen will haunt him all offseason.

Moore threw 120 pitches in 8 innings. No manager in baseball is going to stay with a starter that deep with a three run lead heading into the ninth. If your bullpen can't get three outs without giving up more than two runs you don't belong in the playoffs anyway, go home.

What will haunt the Giants is them not paying up for Andrew Miller and letting him go to Cleveland. Or Mark Melancon and letting him go to the Nats if they wanted a cheaper option who would have still been 95% as good as Miller.

The Giants can be haunted for all I care. They've won enough.

Can't believe Dodgers won over Nationals. What a 9 innings game that last 4 hrs & 30 minutes!

Both teams played their asses off.

Nice win for the Indians...the challenge now will be their other starters other than Kluber taming the Jays hitters. Hope for a fun series and for a Cubs / Indians WS! It would be the World Series of misery
