The last time Cubs won the WS, the US did not have 50 states, WWI and the Great Depression did not happen yet, TV was not around. A long time ago.

I never had a dog in this fight, but once the Cubs were down 3-1, I was rooting for a 7 game series. Then I couldn't stop rooting for the Cubs.

For the third time in my life I've seen a CLE World Series loss, for the second time an extra inning loss in game 7.

Now there are 18 year olds in Chicago that can say they have lived a Cubs World Series championship, but have not seen the Bears or Bulls win a championship.

Today's game ended with baseball winning. Everyone wanted to change the approach, managing players and pitching staffs uniquely because we're into the final few weeks of the season. Whitesox fans are dicks

I'm pretty close to Chicago so we have a good split of Cubs and Sox fans, and I'm surprised how bitter the Sox fans are. Can't you be happy there's a championship in your city at all? You don't have to jump ship and be a Cubs fan, but at least be happy for the city.

Damn, that's crazy. Like I said, the handful of St. Louis natives I've talked to are happy for Chicago. There's a bitter rivalry, but in the end I think they're happy that loyal fans have finally had their day. I'm sure we'll go back to pure hate by around lunch time. 😛
