Yeah, the O's have already lost their chance. I have tickets for the game tomorrow, but I'm not going.. two hours each way to see them lose.

pfft - this year I've already travelled 13 hours each way to watch the Cubs lose a ballgame. 😉

It's a wonder how they pack Wrigley on a regular basis with a consistent loser on the field.

Jealous south sider. 😉

How can I be jealous when the Sox have the best record in the majors and are leading their division by 13 games? Packing the park doesn't matter, it's winning. That said, I'm going to the Sox - Twins game August 16th. 😛

Not trying to hijack this thread, so won't go at it too long - however, answer me this, why were you so compelled to post your first statement?

You south siders are all alike, it just burns at you to know that the Cubs are the beloved Chicago baseball team, that we can fill a stadium of 39,000+ fans on a daily basis no matter what the team record is, while the Sox have had a real tough time even breaking the 20,000+ attendance mark during winning seasons.

Check that Sox attendance figure, they're doing better than that. Nothing about the Cubs "burns me," I'm genuinely confused as to why people would like, or even love, a team with such a history of losing. If you want to continue to bother me about my opinion PM me and leave this thread to its intended losing team.

Another stellar performance tonight. 8-1 in the bottom of the 7th. They are now leading the majors with a losing streak of 7. I can see Tampa Bay pulling ahead of them by the end of August. Hello, last place in the division.

There goes Mazzilli.. he was canned today. From what I read he was never well liked by management or Angelos.. why was he hired in the first place? Also from what I've seen on TV he always looked either angry or dead. Did he ever smile in Baltimore?

Who do you think will be the next manager?? Eddie Murray?

Is Cal Sr still alive?

I'm pretty sure Cal Sr is gone. I attended a conference headlined by Cal Jr, and he was talking about possibly managing the O's in the future.

Edit: They finally won last night. Can they make it two in a row? Tune in at 8pm EST tonight to find out.

Wow. 8-0, Orioles, in the top of the 3rd. What a rape of a young pitcher.

10-2 int the 8th now...

2 back to back ground slams and Ryan balking in the winning run should end this win streak...

God if they let Texas come back from an 8 run deficit so late in the game...
