All hands on deck tonight! I was at the game last night and it was damn exciting though Wagner was about to freakin blow it. He has not been good in the offseason at all. Maine was gutty and Carpenter pitched very well (some question why LaRussa took him out at all) but LoDuca got the big hit and the Mets were on their way.

Should be a crazy game and one cannot expect Oliver Perez of all people to pitch well on short rest but who the hell knows. He is on a very short leash anyways I could see him being lifted in two or three innings even if he pitches well enough. Mets have to get to Suppan who took care of a dead offense last time out. I don't think Suppan will be nearly as good but again..he could pitch another shutout. Advantage goes to the Cards by far in terms of pitching matchup.

I believe... mets fans believe... my dog believes... Lets go Mets!

I wonder if Willie has enough confidence in Wagner tonight to put him out there in the ninth inning if the Mets are ahead by only a run. Heck, Bradford and Heilman have 0.00 ERAs vs. the Cards this postseason. I think I'd feel more comfortable with Heilman in the ninth.

Wagner has been AWFUL this postseason. What is up with him throwing all those damn hanging sliders!! QUIT IT WITH THOSE SLIDERS DAMMIT! Don't throw 'em unless you can get them low and in..etc. Yeesh.. So Taguchi...Wagner Killer???? He threw another hanging slider to Eckstein but he hit it to Valentin..thank god. You should have felt the atmosphere at Shea when Taguchi hit that double.

The key to the game is getting to Suppan. Its not Oliver Perez because everyone in the pen is available...shoot..Glavine may be available for one inning. Suppan took care of a lifeless Mets lineup before..can't let that happen again!!!

How does Suppan let the Mets get on the board after retiring the first two batters? This might set the tone for the game...

This is pitiful for a Cardinals fan. Suddenly Oliver Perez turns into Cy Young, and suddenly the Cardinals cannot, including Pujols, get a damn hit with RISP. Absolutely pitiful!

I know it is early, but I think that you guys have this one. Suppan can only keep throwing like this for so long and the Cardinals hitters are just horrible at the plate. Scott Rolen shouldn't be at the plate and neither should Preston Wilson.

The Mets lineup isn't hitting much better, worse actually.
They're not being patient at the plate, swinging too often too early.

willie took a huge risk leaving Perez in and the pie almost hit him in the face...but
endy caught the pie.

Incredible play.

YOU HAVE TO BE F****** KIDDING ME!!! Cardinals can't catch a damn break. The one time Scott Rolen manages to hit a homerun, someone manages to steal it.

Willie: You ok Oliver?
Perez: Yeah man
Willie: LoDuca, he ok?
LoDuca: Yeah man

Endy: He's not, but I'll take care of it.
