uh, hey mets fans, if the braves come in and sweep you guys, they will make up a lot of ground on you. 😉

NEVAH!!! The Mets always do well against the Braves at Shea so I'm not worried at all about this series. Its the games at Turner Cemetery that always end up disasterous. They gotta win at Turner Cemetery for once dammit!

Good game by the Mets. Delgado was such a great pick up by the Mets. Mets probably would've won the division last year if he signed with them then.

Ain't that the truth! I also believe the Mets would have won the division if Delgado was on the team. He's a difference maker with that great bat of his. I just love his homerun swing! The first base situation last season was just embarrassing (Mientkiewicz, Offerman, Anderson, Woodward, Buchanan..the list goes on and on and on). With Delgado and of course old man France to back him I think things will be a-ok at first.

I am psyched for this series against the Braves.

Im also getting ready to see Pedro pitch next sat. in San Diego, spend the afternoon in Tijuana and then head back over the border to see the Mets beat up the Padres...sounds like a good day!

Damn, the home run apple looks so beat-up and ghetto it's embarassing.
How about spending a couple grand to spruce it up a little?

Delgado's at it again! I guess this pitcher Sosa is his cousin, no less.

dammit..looks like Cliff is hurt. He didn't look hurt when he got that hit but he left the game. Maybe some tightness on his hammy???

I think the Mets also just sent down Diaz this morning? Talk about bad timing.

Bring up Milledge!!

Why the hell is Jose Valentin on this team?? Worthless!!!

Anderson Hernandez is just wonderful defensively, better than I could have imagined but man he can't hit a freakin beachball.

The bench is pretty weak this season so far. Endy Chavez is adequate defensively but can't hit, Jose Valentin is useless, Ramon Castro can't pinch hit because LoDuca could always get hurt. Woodward is good as is Franco but thats about it.

my guess is that hernandez probably swings the bat better than Pedro, but probably not as well as Glavine huh. 😉

glavine has always been pretty good with a bat. being a good hockey player he's probably very familiar with the mechanics of the swing.

you edited it. i bet in a very important spot, they bring glavine in to pinch hit when he's not starting.

the problem with starters like Pedro, relievers are usually easier to hit than he is even when he's tired.

bring him out, other team has a better chance.

Dirty Duaner Sanchez took care of Giles nicely. I hate the Braves (a very respectful hatred if you know what I mean) but I like Marcus Giles. He's a spunky player that I think would succeed nicely here in NYC (or any big city).

could you imagine the press Marcus Giles would have gotten had he played for NY instead of Atlanta?

shoot, Giles is every bit the player Reyes is if not more. he's not as fast obviously but he is a much much better hitter.

Gotta give Reyes some time. He only has one full season in his pocket. Giles has a few years experience. So when is Giles a free agent? 😉

Mets win!!! Pedro gets his 200th win, Dirty Duaner pitches great relief and Wagner seals the deal.

A huge win for the Mets and hopefully they'll win the series tomorrow against Davies.

I'm not fond of seeing Wagner throwing so many sliders. Also of concern is Cliff Floyd's injury, the weak bench and no Beltran. The Braves don't have Larry or Renteria in the lineup so tomorrow both teams wont have big bats on their lineup.

Zambroken pitches tomorrow..oh god.

What a weak ass lineup today for the Mets. Jose Valentin and Endy Chavez in the outfield?? wow Zambroken is garbage so I expect a big loss tonight.

LAWL... Zamboozled already gives up 2 runs in the first inning. He's a pile of trash.

VICTOR ZAMBRANO IS THE BIGGEST PILE OF CRAP. DEMOTE THE BUM TO THE MINORS!! STOP TRYING TO JUSTIFY THE LAME BRAIN MORONIC KAZMIR TRADE GOD DAMMIT!! I HATE VICTOR ZAMBROKEN! ARRGGGHHHHH.... :|

Zambrano is the worst pitcher on the rotation. I am so sick of him. I'm sick of the Mets trying to justify the worst trade ever by leaving that bum in the rotation. Demote him! Bring up Henry Owens or give Heilman a shot at a start. The game is over in my opinion.
