Pedro was shaky but someone pitched 6 innings of no run ball and the bullpen took care of the rest.

Now its on to San Francisco...another sweep please!

..oh..the Mets are now out of last place! yay!

wait...pedro was shaky? i missed the game but espn said he pitched a no hitter into the 6th

pedro had like 4 walks or something. but had a no-hitter up till the 6th. we need these wins from weak ball clubs.

LOL yeah. Pedro is one of a few pitchers that can be shaky yet still pitch no-hit ball for 6 innings. :)

Wow, what a performance by Trachsel. Let's hope that the Mets can keep the lead and win the game.

Great game tonight. Hopefully the Mets will close it out.Washington, Philly, Florida all won or are going to win. Mets don't want to drop.

Ah good ol' Looper can't just get a 1-2-3 inning. Let's hope he saves it for Trachsel.

Edit: Good game. Looper didn't blow it!

zero offense for this series.. back to the old mets. Despite the 5 - 2 road trip I feel that losing the series agaisnt the garbage Giants is unacceptable. Of course its topped off by seeing Benitez wipe the floor of the Mets for the second day in a row.

Be afraid of the series with the Phils.. its make or break time.

I still believe this is a .500 ballclub at best.. the offense is too anemic and Beltran can't hit a lick.

We'll see however.. I'll keep believing.

this series is def. not "make time" but could def. be "break time"...meaning we have plenty of series coming up that can knock us out of the race, this just being the first one...need to do well...winning 2/3 would be really good, 1/3 is gonna hurt (but not kill us), 0/3 and the season is basically done

by the way... did you hear that garbage news about Trachsel going to the bullpen and Zambrano given his next start?

Steve Trachsel pitches a 2 hit, 8 inning shutout effort and HE is going to the bullpen?? After Zambrano said he would gladly go to the bullpen if Willie tells him to?? ...oh brother.. what are the Mets thinking..

I saw Z warm up also...

Beltran is a playoff performer... if we all say that collectively 3 times fast every 30 minutes, it will come true.

Trax odd man out...

thats bullsh*t...if that does happen...wow...he looked like his old self and thats what we need right now.

i think that would be the stupidest move willie has made this year and he has made some bad moves

i have a random question, has willie been thrown out of a game yet this year? on a pick off play today the runner was clearly out, but called safe...once again i saw willie come out and look like he said something like

"Excuse sir, but could I please inquire on what call you made on that play? I was in the dugout and didnt see. Oh I see, well I believe that is wrong, but what do i know from way over there"

i have yet to see any emotion...where is bobby v when we need him

It could also be a Wilpon/Minaya move... still trying to justify the Kazmir trade I suppose.

As for Willie.. he has been thrown out ..once I think. He needs to get out and argue more.

WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF WTF

this might be the worst decision i have ever heard, he better only miss 1 start...all season we have been waiting and waiting for him to come back saying this will complete our rotation...now he is back and we refuse to start him

and my g/f asks why i am starting to get grey hairs....

I love the mets, but they freakin drive me crazy!

What about the play where Cameron made a catch, and dropped it when transferring from the glove to throwing arm and they ruled it a non-catch?
Willie sat in the dugout and did absolutely nothing.

I personally hate him as a manager.
