Willie Randolph is completely clueless. He might be the worst manager that I've ever seen.

I disagree. I don't think Willie is doing a bad job, I think his players aren't playing well right now.

except the fact that wright is still batting at the end of the lineup

(who is leading the starters in BA, 2nd in RBI, 2nd in HR's, 2nd triples, 1st in doubles, 2nd in hits, 1st in runs, 1st in walks, 3rd in SB, 3rd in slugging)

Wright batted 3rd a couple nights ago. He's just experimenting, especially with the slumping players and Daubach thrown in there. Cameron needs to come back. At least he'll give the guys a mental boost.

It's not a winning formula still... I think it's still best to be pessimistic with what we have.

and they won that game (if you are talking about batting 2nd against oakland)

No, Randolph has been doing a horrible job. He's possibly the worst manager I've ever seen.

1. He leaves the best hitter on the entire team in the bottom of the lineup.
2. One of the worst hitters on the entire team is in the top of the lineup and therefore receives the most plate appearances.
3. Ishii should not be in the rotation, but Willie Moron Randolph is too stupid to realize it. Instead he has one of the team's best starters rotting in the bullpen.
4. DeJean is horrible, but Randolph has a fascination with him.

We can only hope that he can improve in the future or gets fired. I've never seen such stupidity in a manager. It's truly shocking.

If he needs to experiment where to put the team's best hitter, then he's even more clueless than I thought he was.

willies biggest mistake this weekend was taking heilman out of the game yesterday.

HTF does heilman NOT get in the starting rotation? it could be argued that behind pedro and benson, heilman is the third best pitcher the mets have.

the next 3 weeks will make or break the mets for this season. philly/yanks/marlin/nats/braves

i'm skeptical, but i must believe.

wow yeah, the mets need to turn it around ASAP...

they better not be totally out of it when they come to the west coast in mid-july...i hate going to my only Met games of the year after they are basically done

only if they have that "bring a pepsi, get into to picnic area" promo. =)

b/c i'm not paying to watch my fav. baseball team lose.

update: reyes has the worst plate-discipline EVER. since he doesnt walk and is a .260 hitter he needs to get on base more somehow to be successful.
kaz sucks. he is really good defensively but should be batting 8 or 9th.
beltran is awesome and floyd gives him good protection in the lineup.

in conclusion, the mets are definitely the second best team in all of NY.

Have you ever gotten in during those bring a Pepsi promotions? I've seen 'em a few times, but worry if I'd be able to get in, considering I prob. couldn't get to the stadium until about 6:45/7:00 on a weekday. I'd hate to drive all the way from LI and not get in.

only the first 1000 gets in if i'm not mistaken, and you know how shea fills up on those cheap seats quick. 7'o clock is probably too late.

what's this picnic area deal ? It's a free game if you're in ? Is that the bleachers ? I prob wouldn't be able to make it any earlier than 6pm either.

Yeah, didn't they score like 9 runs in that game? To me it's stupid that moving Wright up worked very well, but then they went back to their old lineup the next day.

I agree on Heilman as well.

even tho the pitching isnt really that bad aside a few bad apples... these steps are imperative for the moment

1. Outright release of Mike Dejean
2. Move Royce Ring back to AAA... he's a AAAA lifer...
3. Bring up Jae Seo, make him the long reliever
4. Move Aaron Heilman into the rotation
5. Move Kaz Ishii into the lefty specialist / 8th inning role/mopup man anything but starter

gives us 1 spot breathing room on the roster to make an offensive move or another reliever.

so everyone agrees...Wright should be in a better spot in the lineup, matsui should be moved down and heilman should be a starter...

maybe we should email these to willie

any of you guys listen to WFAN? what are they saying about the team? Does willie go on mike and the mad dog? Im so out of the loop living in los angeles

ya, i listen to mike and the maddog quite a bit as i'm on the road a lot.

willie is on wfan every wed at 5 pm. i don't usually listen then.

both mike and maddog feel like Wright should bat higher in the order, here's what they want for a lineup.

Cameron
Reyes
Beltran
Floyd
Wright
Piazza
1st baseman
2nd baseman
pitcher

as much as you'd like to you can't move Reyes down too far in the order, if he goes 7 or 8th he will never see any pitches and since he never walks, he will just never get on base. his ba will drop.

at least at 2nd his occasional power can drive in cameron. also with beltran and floyd hitting behind him, he will get some strikes.

wright could bat 2nd but he's really more of an rbi guy. he will be 3 or 4 very soon.

yeah i think that would be a fine lineup, i mean its obvious piazza isnt what he once was.

I dont mind reyes being too high, but i just dont understand how they can not teach him what a ball is.

I agree for the most part though I would give Ring more of a chance. I'd rather see him in the majors and find a role. I would also place Wright higher up in the lineup. I would DL Beltran who is supposedly is still ailing from his quad..give him 2 weeks and he should be healed up.

Willie totally screwed up the Mariners series. He pitched to Ichiro TWICE and got burned both times. He takes out Heilman who has been great out of the pen for Mike DeJean Mustard who shouldn't be on this team at all.

Now the Mets are gonna go against good, tough teams in the Phils and Yanks....the Mets could get buried really fast by Monday. Doesn't look good at all.

Mike DeJean Moldy Mustard was released by the Mets...thank you... who do they bring up.. MR. KOO!! WHAT IS THAT CRAP??!! RELEASE HIM TOO ALONG WITH ISHII!!!

... Mutsui is on the DL and who do they bring up... GERALD WILLIAMS!!! GERATOL WILLIAMS SHOULD NOT BE IN THE MAJORS!!! WHAT ARE THEY DOING???!!!

PUT BELTRAN ON THE DL MORONS!!! HE IS HURT!!! HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

...ugh.. I have a headache... no more yelling for today... maybe.. :|
