Can't remember where I read this but I seem to recall that you could not have an ATI card and an NVidia card in the same box at the same time. Anyone know if that's true? Like say an ATI 4870 in one slot, a GT120 in another?

This would probably be a better question for InsanelyMac. I don't think anyone here has experience with multiple cards.

you can if you want. it's not like you get any advantage from multiple video cards besides the fact you can run more monitors. a lot of people will have an ati card and then a nice nvidia card, and use the nvidia in windows.
should work, no issues.
i use two different ati cards.

Just to confirm, YES you can do this. I received my new GT120 today and installed it in the primary PCIe slot. Moved the ATI2600 to the slot above and now they are connected to two different Dell 2405FPW monitors and working just dandy.
