Mixing Ram

I presently have 2 sticks of XMS Corsair DDR 3200 512mg @ 2-3-2-6 1T timing Dual Channel

I want to be cheap and get a set of OCZ for $90 @ NewEgg that run at 2-3-3-6 2T timings.
Question:
Can I mix those and run them all at say 2.5-3-3-6 2T dual channel or should I spend $40 more for the Corsair C2 to be safe? They both run @ 2.6 volts although I've always run the Corsairs @ 2.7 volts to play IL-2.

If your motherboard maker says both will work, it probably will work with both types, but unless you override the default timings in the BIOS, the system will run all the RAM at the slower timing. If you're running in dual channel mode, you'll probably want to use the matched pairs with each other.

Thanks Harvey,
As I understand it to run 4 banks of Corsair I would have to back off to 2.5 CAS, so will check the OCZ site as well.
I'm testing the Corsair now backed off to 2.5-3-3-8 2T and can run IL-2 1946 in perfect mode very smoothly. 🙂
Both brands of ram run at 2.6 volts, which I'll bump up, so that is one less obstacle to deal with.

Just can't see spending $250 +/- on hot Corsairs when DDR1 is already a dinosaur.
