Mixing RAM sticks

I realize this topic is probably created a lot here, and I'm sorry, but I'd just like a quick yes/no answer.

Right now I have this and I would like to add this

Would I have any problems? They have the same timings 5-5-5-15, and similar voltage. I know the speeds are different but the RAM I have now isn't running at full speed is it? I bought it knowing it was overkill but I got a real good deal on it, and at the time I was planning on overclocking.

My rig is in my sig, but I have a stock Q6600 and a P5K Deluxe.

There shouldn't be a problem with your ASUS P5K Deluxe but, your Windows XP Home won't see all 4 Gb.

Ok cool. I'm adding memory for Windows 7 64bit. I'm not sure I'll need it, but I game pretty frequently, and it's only $40.

If you're going 64-bit for the OS and you will be keeping your platform a while longer, why not consider getting a 2x2GB kit? That will give you 6GB total and thus if you do decide you need more RAM in the future, you're already halfway there (6-8GB versus 4-8GB).

That's a good idea, but by the time I plan on upgrading to more RAM (over 4gb) I'll probably be looking to upgrade my whole pc.

edit: I ordered the 2x1GB sticks.
