Mixing RAM modules-asking for trouble?

I currently have two 4GB Kingston Hyper-X DDR3 1600 modules that run at 1.65v with timings of 9-9-9-27 . I'm thinking of ordering two modules of the Gskill DDR3 1600 on special today at Newegg that run at 1.5v and timings of 9-9-9-24 (the Kingston is no longer available). Is mixing these a recipe for trouble, or can they get along? I know the timings can be matched in my BIOS, but I am concerned about the voltage. Thanks for any help.

It might work...or it might not.

You definitely should match the specs as closely as possible...and mixing voltages can create problems.
It's always best to use ram that has been tested together...so for you, just buy a matched set of 4, then sell your set of two.

The timings aren't the biggest issue. More MB's have problems being fully populated than in dealing with ram of different timings. Of course, being fully populated and having different timings doesn't help.

Well, I can another 8gb of Kingston (same speed, timings and voltage) for only $10 more than the sh%t hot special running today, so it's all good. Better to spend a bit more for peace of mind, and I just got a 'thank you' 10% off all desktop RAM coupon from the Egg. Many thanks.
