Mixing memory types

I have a Slot-A Athlon at 650 running on a K7M motherboard. Currently I have a 128 MB PC100 stick in there. I have some older SDRAM sitting around unused (from a Dell p200 mmx, I think it is pc66 or something). Would it help/hurt performance by putting that extra memory in there? I'm using win2k, a perputally memory hungry OS - and I like to multitask 🙂. All response will be appreciated - thanks!

it will probably hurt, since that ram is probably slow, and old memory or oem memory is usually not a good mix with amd chips
