I've never had allergies before, but everyone asks, is it allergies? I don't know. I usually get sinus problems during winter months, but rarely during spring.

I have sinus congestion and a cough (junk in the chest).

So, I have Aleve sinus & cold (which is the best thing I've found for my winter sinus problems). I also bought some Claritin.

My question is, if I take the Claritin (24 hour) and it does nothing, can I take the Aleve (12 hour)? Or do I need to wait 24 hours?

Aren't those both pseudoephedrine? You're never supposed to take more than is stated on the pack, but I took quite a lot of them once just to see what it would do, and not much happened except maybe a slight feeling of light-headedness.

If you have a lot of congestion in your chest that you are coughing up you can get a Guauifenesin & Sudafed combo behind the counter at most drug stores.

That will cover both head & chest congestion.

Yes you can, but make sure to read what drug is in each. If the Aleve cold and sinus just has naproxen and phenyleprine or psuedoephedrine then taking Claritin, aka Loratadine along with it wont hurt, will just make sure your sinuses are extra dry :p

Holy shit, thanks for the help guys. I'm not sure why SillyOReilly, aka dumb-shit, bumped the thread after 33 hours!

Anyway, I did take Claritin. It did nothing so I took Aleve, which helped a little. I got some antibiotics today, turns out it is a upper respiratory infection. Isn't life grand.
