Mixing different type DDR RAM ?

I currenly have one 256Mb NEC PC2100 CAS2.5 DIMM and I want to upgrade my memory. I saw Apacer PC2100 CAS2 memory for sale in local shop and thought to buy another 256MB stick. Is it good idea to mix different brand/type DDR memory? Can it cause problems even if I run it on spec (no overclocking)? I know SDRAM had no problems with different brands/types as long as you ran it on spec, I'm afraid that DDR is more sensitive about that. Mobo is Abit KG7...

Thanks Andy, that was exactly what I wanted to hear 😉 I was just little confused cause of horror stories about instability with different DDR sticks...
