Hi all,
If I might ask -- I can go ahead and buy a Linksys N wireless desktop card to work with my Dlink Wireless N router correct and I will still benefit from the N standard coverage and speed? I don't need to stick to Dlink correct?

Only reason I ask is that the Dlink router was on sale a while back it was cheap cheap. Also works great. However the appropriate Dlink N wireless desktop card is never on sale and costs quite a bit. On the other hand the Linksys N just went on sale for half price and thus it's tempting.

Another question and reason for getting the Linksys wireless desktop card is that it comes with an antenna that sits quite far through cables from the actual card (and behind your computer) and thus giving you even better reception. The Dlink I would need to get another antenna in addition as all their cards have the antennas right on the back of the PCI card (which always hides deep behind my computer).

While I'm pretty sure the Linksys & D-Link "N" components will work together, I doubt seriously you'll get the full speed or range either is capable of when used with the same brand & model equipment. If you want to garantee the best performance you would be better off biting the bullet & paying the extra cash for the matching D-Link adapter for your router.
