mixed mac/pc network question

i have a few iMacs (intel CPUs) on a mostly Windows network. i have a nice Mac Pro (also intel) server with 10 CALs at my disposal as well

to integrate the Macs into the network well, would it be easier to use the Mac Pro as a Mac OS Server or just use it as a Windows server?
