Ok the thing is that I have been playing Deus Ex for I don't know how long...And today I completed the game and was really happy about it, played trough the different endings and all..

But now I wonder what's next ? Where to go now? Perhaps this is the moment where I get out some more and meet people?

Or what other game do I play now ??

Yeah it was a great game wasn't it? I recommend Deus Ex to anyone. I loved those multiple endings. Well, have you ever played System Shock 2? If not, then do. Deus Ex is VERY similar. Same engine/same interaction, etc. SS2 is a really great game that I enjoyed. Besides, who really wants to meet new people? :)

hehe well just before playing Deus Ex I played System Shock 2 :)
I liked that game even better, I enjoyed the dark-room-late-at-night-monsters-around-the-corner-feeling of that game.

Was there ever a System Shock 1?

Any other game ?

Yeah, there was a System Shock 1, I'm probably going to order it sometime soon. I just wanna play the game that started the plotline for SS. I love the plotline for that game. :) Other games? Hmm, I really don't have the time/cash to play new games all that often. But I'm also a big RPG fan, Baldur's Gate I was great, BG II is incredible if your into that stuff. Also, Half-Life Counterstrike is a great FPS since you can play with all the other Anandtechers. :) Can't really think of any other games ATM, but if I do, I'll post 'em.

If you liked System Shock 2 for the game play (haven't played Deus Ex), you'd probably also like Thief from which the engine came. It doesn't have multiple endings or classes or experience, but the game play is fantastic because it involves so much more than "kill everything in sight". One of the best FPS games ever created -- too bad the studio went out of business (Looking Glass) as they were among the best around.

Yeah, that is too bad about Looking Glass. Hey, did you see the System Shock 3 coming out? Well, it's actually a comprehensive HL mod that is privately made.

System shock 2 and Deus ex are not on the same engine.

Anyway, other games:

Hitman
Hitman
Hitman

Thief & Thief 2 are good

Thats about it for that class of games.

Heretic II?

I just watched my brother playing Oni (made by Bungie) and I think that you might like that game.

lnguyen: They probably hated it because it's MUCH different from your typical FPS (just as Thief is also). Instead of running through hallways and such killing everything in sight with twenty different guns and gobs of ammunition, you have to gradually acquire skills and weapons (and skills to use weapons) as you go. You mainly try to avoid combat as much as possible because you are quite fragile (think Counter-Strike, not Quake).

However, the mood of the game is absolutely fantastic. I've never played a game that scared the crap out of me as much as that one did. I never did finish it though because the end is ridiculously hard. But, I had an awesome time working through it. Easily one of the best games I've played (and there have been too many!).
